Education for Your Success!
Advanced MT offers excellent in-depth education and training for the profession of medical language specialist and the practical application of medical transcription. We offer three levels to our program: Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. Upon successful completion of our program, students receive Advanced MT Certificates of Graduation.
Graduating Advanced MT students are offered an optional practicum, oftentimes resulting in a paid internship and even immediate job placement within Advanced MT's sister medical transcription service, MTS of Kansas, LLC. The practicum offers students an opportunity to transcribe "live" patient files under close supervision.
Advanced MT also provides assistance with job prospecting to its graduates.

Beginning Program
The Advanced MT Beginning Transcription Program is a comprehensive curriculum which utilizes a variety of learning strategies to guide our students in the mastery of competencies required to transcribe office notes, letters, history, physicals, discharge summaries, consultations, and emergency room reports.
Multiple learning styles are addressed in our program: We have incorporated a variety of teaching techniques including textbook study, virtual classrooms, transcription practice, online testing, and interactive support. The systematic approach of the curriculum integrates seven areas of study which are concurrently studied based upon a body system or specialty.
Students entering the Advanced MT Beginning Transcription Program will find our program interesting, systematic, flexible, and fun! While the nature of the content of the course is challenging and stimulating, students may find the coursework rigorous. It is our vision that the challenges of the program be balanced with humor, encouragement, and support!
Intermediate Program
The focus of the Advanced MT Intermediate Program is on surgical transcription. Surgical textbook study and practice CDs prepare the medical transcriptionist/editor for employment with multispecialty clinics, group practices, medical centers, hospitals, and transcription services.
Advanced Program
The Advanced Program concentrates on more difficult dictation in five different specialities, further preparing the MT for acute care, orthopedic, endoscopic and interventional medicine environments.
